Gambaran Tingkat Pengetahuan Mahasiswa Keperawatan Universitas Diponegoro Tentang Komunikasi Terapeutik

Abstract

Therapeutic communication is a specifc nurse communication to patients whose purpose is to assist in the healing process of patients. Nursing students as future nurses in the future are expected to truly understand what is therapeutic communication and also the processes that must be done when implementing therapeutic communication so that when plunge directly in the field can apply the communication well. This research aims to know the description of the nursing student's knowledge about therapeutic communication. The research method used is non experimental quantitative research using descriptive study. The sample technique used is consecutive sampling involving 150 respondents. The results showed that as many as 136 people (89.5%) were in good category and 16 persons (10.5%) were in sufficient category with the highest score on the basis of therapeutic communication (91.4%) and the lowest on therapeutic communication goals (84, 5%). The conclusion of this student is that nursing students have good knowledge on therapeutic communication where the highest value is expected. Students can improve therapeutic communication skills by reading and practicing in everyday life, so that therapeutic communication ability in the student becomes better.
