ABSTRACT Manalu, Regina Dolores. 2017. “Moral Value Of The Main Character Ini The Sen To Chihiro No Kamikakushi Film by Miyazaki Hayao (A study of sociology of literature). Japanese literature department, faculty of Humanities, Diponegoro University. Advisors: Drs. M. Muzakka, M. Hum and Nur Hastuti, S.S., M.Hum. The purpose of this research is analyze about moral value of the main character. This research ia a literature research, all of the data is library material.The object of the research is a film entitled Sen To Chihiro No Kamikakushi by Miyazaki Hayao was premiered in 2001. In this research, the method that is used is structural analysis in the form of intrinsic element which includes figure and characterization, plot and background. In addition, the researcher sociology of literature to express moral value of the main character which includes principle of good attitude, willingness to be responsible, independence, ganbaru concept, gimu concept and concept of giri.
