Partisipasi Masyarakat dan Willingness to Pay dalam Pembangunan Infrastruktur Ekonomi (Studi Kasus : Desa Kalisidi, Kecamatan Ungaran Barat, Kabupaten Semarang)

Abstract

Infrastructure has a very important role to support various economic activities in improving economic growth, equity and people's welfare. Without the availability of adequate infrastructure, then an economic activity or development in general will run slowly. Kalisidi Village is one of the villages in West Ungaran District which still needs economic infrastructure development such as road, gutter and also street lighting in its environment. In realizing it, need of community participation in the development of economic infrastructure, both in terms of physical energy, materials or goods and also financial.. This study aims to determine the participation of the community in the development of economic infrastructure in Kalisidi Village, knowing the value of willingness to pay (WTP) in the development of economic infrastructure. This study uses primary data and secondary data. Primary data were obtained from 95 respondents by using questionnaire. Secondary data in this study were obtained from documents published by the Central Statistics Agency of West Ungaran District, Central Statistics Agency of Semarang Regency, and also from the Kalisidi Village Office. Quantitative descriptive analysis is used to analyze the level of community participation described through the forms of participation. Then, the Contingent Valuation Method approach is used to analyze the size of WTP. The results showed that community participation in the development of economic infrastructure in Kalisidi Village included in the high category, because the majority of respondents gave answers on high category sebayak 51% (48 people). The results of the Contingent Valuation Method show that the average willingness of the community to pay (WTP) is Rp 6,500.00 per household per month and with total WTP value of Rp 1,625,000.00 per month.
