ABSTRACT Pangestika, Alda Fauzia. 2017. “Karakteristik Persahabatan dalam Novel Shikamaru Hiden: Yami No Shijima Ni Ukabu Kumo Karya Masashi Kishimoto dan Takashi Yano Kajian Psikologi Sastra”. A thesis in partial fulfillment of the requirement for S-I Degree Japanese Department, Faculty of Humanities, Diponegoro University, Semarang. The Advisors Nur Hastuti, S.S, M.Hum and Dewi Saraswati S., S.S, M.Si. The research aims to explaining about intrinsic elements and reveal the characteristic of friendship. The source which used in research is a Japanese novel entitled “Shikamaru Hiden: Yami no Shijima ni Ukabu Kumo「シカマル秘伝 ：闇の黙に浮ぶ雲」”by Masashi Kishimoto and Takashi Yano in 2015. The method used in this research is literature study. The theory which used in this research are structural theory, literary psychology, and social psychology. Social psychology can be used to analyze the characteristic of friendship in the novel. The results of this research are Shikamaru is the main character, the plot is linear, there are 4 place settings and 3 time settings, and 7 characteristics of friendship.
