GAMBARAN PERILAKU PENCEGAHAN DAN PENGOBATAN PASIEN TUBERKULOSIS PARU YANG MENJALANI PENGOBATAN RAWAT JALAN DI RUMAH SAKIT PARU DR ARIO WIRAWAN SALATIGA

Abstract

Tuberculosis is a disease which can attack almost of all human organ especially the lungs. If this disease does not handled appropriately, dangerous effect such as complication or even death will be the result. The significant spreading of Tuberculosis is through droplets which released by the sufferers when they get cough, sneeze, even when they were speaking. The treatment for the TB sufferers that does not applied completely otherwise it can make the bacteria become resistance and increase the spreading risk to the others. Therefore, the sufferers behavior in preventing and doing the treatment for TB have the significant roles to decrease the spreading of this disease. This research aims to figure out the prevention and treatment behavior for the lungs TB outpatients. The design of this research is descriptive with survey approach. This research uses questionnaire which has passed the stage of validity and reliability test. The sampling technique which used is porposive sampling with 76 sufferers as the respondent by using the formula of slovin to determine this. The data analysis which used is univariat analysis. The result of this research shows that the sufferers behavior in preventing the spreading and treatment is majority in deficient category (53.9%), therefore the nurse should pay more attention to the prevention effort that has to be done by the patient. This research is expected to become a consideration for the nurse profession in doing prevention of Tuberculosis disease spreading.
