Abstract
ABSTRACT [Estimation Of NO2 (Nitrogen Dioxide) Due To Motorized Vehicle Activity In Semarang City Flyover By Using Software Caline4 (Case Study: Kalibanteng and Jatingaleh Flyover) ]. Motor vehicles passing over the flyover release NO2 gas pollution that will spread to the surrounding air. The purpose of this study is to estimate the distribution of NO2 pollutants due to motor vehicle activity at Semarang City Flyover and predict the distribution of NO2 pollutants at Jatingaleh Flyover. In addition to the estimation by software caline4 also conducted validation test in the field based on rush hour in the morning from 7-8 am for 3 days weekday and 3 days weekend at distance of 0 meter, 70 meter and 170 meter from Kalibanteng Flyover. Measurements in the field consisted of measuring NO2 concentration, vehicle volume (1 / h), vehicle speed, temperature, and wind speed. The results of multiple linear regression statistics showed that the effect of vehicle volume on NO2 concentration significantly influenced with value of <0.05 that is 0.048. But the speed of the vehicle, wind speed and temperature did not give a significant effect. Volume and speed of vehicles show a positive relationship, which means that if the volume and speed of the vehicle increases then, NO2 concentration will also increase. Negative relationship is shown by temperature and wind speed, meaning that if temperature and wind speed increase then, NO2 concentration will decrease. Distribution of NO2 pollutants due to motor vehicle activity at Kalibanteng Flyover is able to reach point B / receptor 2 which is 70 meters apart from Flyover. But at the point 170 meters have no influence from the spread of Kalibanteng Flyover with an estimated 0.00 ppm on weekday III, weekend I and weekend III. At the point 0 meters above the Flyover, the maximum concentration occurs on weekday 0.09 ppm and 0.05ppm at the weekend. The value is still below the national ambient air quality standard of 400 ug / Nm3 or equivalent to 0.19 ppm. As for the predicted distribution of Jatingaleh Flyover, the farthest point of NO2 pollutants reaches 100 meters at the weekend and the furthest distance of 50 meters at the weekend of the Jatingaleh Flyover. The predicted results of NO2 pollutant estimation by Caline4 decreased after the Jatingaleh Layang Bridge operation, prior to the operation of the overpass, the highest pollutant was estimated at 0.04 ppm, after the highest concentration of flyover operation was estimated at 0.02 ppm.
