GAMBARAN TINGKAT KECERDASAN EMOSI MAHASISWA BIDIKMISI DI DEPARTEMEN ILMU KEPERAWATAN FAKULTAS KEDOKTERAN UNIVERSITAS DIPONEGORO

Abstract

Bidikmisi studentsare students who have potential in academic but come from families who are weak economically. Bidikmisi students are faced with many demands that can trigger emotional change.Need emotional intelligence to manage the emotional change. This research is aimed to know the description of emotional intelligence level of Bidikmisi Students in Department of Nursing Science Faculty of Diponegoro University.The research design is quantitative descriptive by using survey method. The number of research samples are 140 bidikmisi students that are determined by using total sampling technic. The data in this research are measured by using emotional intelligence self evaluation questionnaire.The result of the research shows that most of the students need development. 54.3% in self-awarness aspect needs development, 45% in self-regulation needs development, 49.3% in motivation aspect needs development, 55.7% in empathy aspect needs development and 42.9% in social skill needs development.This research is expected to be reference for nursing students, nursing institution, nursing education to maximize their students’ emotional intelligence level.
