Supervisor Dr. Agus Maladi I, M.A and Khothibul Umam, S.S., M.Hum Semar is one of the puppet characters who are known to be wise and humble. He is also known as one of the servants of the pandavas. Besides that, he also has iconic body with large buttocks, slightly stooped, and distinctive crest on his head. Semar is also a character that full of mystery. Because there are some assumptions that Semar is not human. From Nano Riantiarno’s script “Semar gugat”, Semar modified in such a way that it was slightly difference between the character that he had existed from people in general. In this script Semar is more likely easy to get angry and even, there is some dialogue affirming that he does not accept his life. The aim of this study is to answer the problem formulation which is knowing the stages of psychological conflict experienced by Semar characters in “Semar Gugat “script by N. Riantiarno. Then from there can be shown that interactions of Semar with other characters who can show the emotional stages of Semar characters. The method used in this study, is a structural method which is intended to determine the elements that make up the script of Semar Gugat, later described with the theory of psychology by Alfred Adler to find the conflicts of Semar characters. The result of this research is that Semar character experienced some conflicts caused by the interaction between Semar's character and other characters in the script of Semar Gugat. The researcher has also found that Semar's character in Semar Gugat script has changed the final goal in his life due to his disappointment of Arjuna's behavior.
