NILAI MORAL DALAM NOVEL MARS KARYA AISHWORO ANG (PENDEKATAN SOSIOLOGI SASTRA)

Abdullah, M.Hum., Laura Andri Retno M., S.S., M.A. Novel Mars by AisworoAng tells the character of a mother named Tupon who loves her son named Palupi, even though Tupon is illiterate, but he attaches great importance to his son's education, he is willing to work hard in his old age in order to finance his children's education up to university. Problems taken in this novel include elements of structure contained in the novel, as well as moral values in the novel. The method used in this study using the method of literary sociology to reveal the moral values contained in the novel Mars. Theories used in the study include the structural theory of fiction novels that include themes, characters and characterizations, the theory of sociology of literature, and moral theory. Based on the results of the analysis, we have found some moral values contained in the novel Mars, which includes the honest attitude of Tupon in life, the original personality of Palupi in life, Tupon's responsibility as a mother, the independence of Palupi became a student, the courage of the tupon and Palupi, Palupi humility, the critical attitude of Palupi. .
