Abstract

Acne vulgaris occurs at the age 15-16 years with the prevalence of 47-90%. Complaints adolescent with acne vulgaris leads aspects of aesthetic face that affect the image of the body. The adolescents with acne vulgaris shows inferior, refusal to himself, and embarrassed. Teens ashamed, they will be ashamed to do the interpersonal communication with othera and may affect him or her to do the interaction of peers. Interpersonal communication is a factor of the interaction of peers. Acceptance or rejection of the physical a job growth and development of psychosocial. Teen impaired in task and psychosocial development impact in interact. This study aims to know the relation between body image an the interaction of peers in high school students who have acne vulgaris. Type of quantitative research, descriptive study correlation and cross sectional approach, using the questionnaire as instruments. The sampling techniques using stratified random sampling, the number of sample 186 respondents. The results showed at total of 112 respondents (60,2%) had a body image negative while a total of 101 respondents (54,3%) had the interaction of peers less well. These results also show as much as 94 responden (83,93%) had a body image negative with the interaction of peers poor. There is the relationship between body image and the interaction of peers in high school student who have a acne vulgaris. Recommended for respondents to thick their positive will. Therefore necessary method to improve body image with group guidance techniques.
