Supervisor: Dr. Muh. Abdullah. M.A. The manuscript reviewed by the researcher in this thesis is Serat Kridhawasita. SeratKridhawasita is a manuscript which was published by P.B.P.N.I Surakarta by R. Purbadarsana in 1946. Serat Kridhawasita obtained by writer with literature study at Catalog of Sastra Lestari Foundation Surakarta with catalog number 1196. Serat Kridhawasita by authors presented in the form of Tembang Macapat consisting of nine tembang. The values contained in Serat Kridhawasita is a teaching or guidance for human life so that in living life should be in harmony between the birth and the mind. This research describes the description of manuscript, transliteration, text translation, text editing, and text content analysis. The theoretical basis used is the theory of philology to obtain edits of text approaching the original and Abrams pragmatic theory that refers to the role of readers to express the meaning contained in Serat Kridhawasita. While the methods used include, inventory of data, data processing and presentation of data analysis results. The results of pragmatic analysis conducted by researchers such as every human should keep the behavior and moral ethics well among others. Every human being is also obliged to worship to the parents, to be honest, to control the lust, to have pleasure and patience in facing the test of life and to accept the ordinance which Allah wants. Every human being also has an obligation to carry out God's commands and seek the prohibition of Allah, and to give charity. Every human being also should to study.
