PENGARUH KARAKTERISTIK RUMAH TANGGA, BUDAYA DAN MODAL SOSIAL TERHADAP KEMISKINAN DI KAMPUNG TAMBAK LOROK SEMARANG

Abstract

Poverty is a multidimensional problem that is not only related to economic aspects, but also social and cultural aspects. The area of Tambak Lorok belongs to the category of slum areas, in terms of the level of formal education and the economic level of the community is mostly still in the middle group down. Therefore we need solution to minimize the number of poor households in Tambak Lorok by knowing the causes of poverty that exist at the household level. This study aims to determine the factors that poverty in Tambak Lorok. The type of data is primary data which obtained from 95 household samples in Tambak Lorok, and secondary data as supporting in this study.The method of this study used binary logistic regression. The variables in this study are: household characteristics, number of family member, main job type, perception of commercial bank, perception of infrastructure development, cultural variables ie resignation, consumption behavior, and social capital variable, association participation and trust level. The result of the research showed that cultural variables are resignation, consumer behavior and household characteristic variable that is main job type, public perception toward commercial bank and social capital variable that is association participation rate which significantly influence to poverty in Tambak Lorok village. While the variables that do not significantly affect the poverty in Kampung Tambak Lorok namely the perception of infrastructure development, the number of family members and the level of trust, so that the variables are not likely to affect poverty in Tambak Lorok.
