Gambaran Kepercayaan Kesehatan Wanita Usia Subur (WUS) dalam Deteksi Dini Kanker Serviks Menggunakan Metode IVA di Wilayah Kerja Puskesmas Halmahera Semarang

Abstract

The incidence of cervical cancer in Central Java continues to increase. The government has made free early detection using Visual Inspection with Acetat Acid (VIA) to decrease, but the target achievement is not as expected. Halmahera Health Center as one of VIA’sexecutor, only reach target of 1.32% (129 women) from 9.736 woman in 2016. This study aims to describe the health belief of productive woman in early detection for cervical cancer using IVA method. The research method used descriptive suevey approach. The sampling technique used proportional consecutive sampling with 375 women. The results of this study are 172 (45.9%) women have a good health beliefs about detection of cervical cancer with VIA, while 203 (54.1%) have less health belief. The result for health belief by its domain are perceived susceptibility 217 (57.9%) good; 158 (42.1%) less, perceived severity232 (61.9%) good; 143 (38.1%) less, perceived benefit 216 (57.6%) good; 159 (42.4%) less, perceived barrier 193 (51.5%) good; 182 (48.5%) less, and cues to action 197 (52.5%) good; 178 (54.1%) less. Suggestions for the organizers of the National VIA programis to provide comprehensive dissemination for women to perform VIA by increase the level of woman’s perception such as the other alternative like HPV vaccine for prevent cervical cancer and free administration for non-assurance woman.
