Abstract
Giovanni Cahya Pratiwi Description of Knowledge, Attitude, and Behavior of Energy Drinks Consumption on Workers at Industry Central of Tofu and Fermented Soybean in Jomblang Village, Semarang Regency xvi + 134 pages + 13 tables + 2 figures + 20 appendixes Energy drinks is the beverages to increase energy and stamina. Its beneficial effect used by the workers at industry central of tofu and fermented soybean in Jomblang Village Semarang Regency to increase productivity. Workers usually consume energy drinks without knowing the negative effects. This study aimed to find out a description of knowledge, attitude, and behavior of energy drinks consumption among workers at tofu and fermented soybean industry. The present research described a non-experimental quantitative descriptive study. The data were collected by using the questionnaire in the form of 11 questions about demographic, 10 questions about knowledge, 8 statements about attitudes, 15 statements about behavior. A nonprobability sampling with purposive sampling, was used to recruit the sample of 120 workers. The result showed that majority subjects is aged 31-40 years, male workers, last education finished on junior high school, the working period between 1-5 years, workers do 2-3 process of making tofu and fermented soybean, energy drink information from advertisement in television/ radio/hand phone. Majority of the subjects is consume energy drinks with powder consumption, the consumption reasons to increase stamina and activity, consumption time at one time, consumption only at one time. The most knowledge among workers at the moderate category, majority of workers had negative attitude, and negative behavior. Suggestions for primary health care is should be able to provide health education related to the negative effects of energy drinks, for industry owners can provide other types of food and beverage such as milk.
