REALISASI TUTURAN EKSPRESIF TENAGA KERJA WANITADALAM FILM MINGGU PAGI DI VICTORIA PARK

Abstract

The ratio of Indonesian female workers abroad scattered in various countries is fairly high. It attracts theattention of domestic filmmakers realized in their movie production which uplifts social reality of the livesof such female migrant workers with its dynamic. One of the best movies with that particular topic is entitledMinggu Pagi di Victoria Park. The movie offers a reflection of woman workers in Hong Kong involved invarious conflicts. This research aims to describe (1) the realization form of expressive speech of femalemigrant workers in Minggu Pagi di Victoria Park movie and (2) factors that influence the appearance ofexpressive speech act performed by female migrant workers in Minggu Pagi di Victoria Park movie. Datawere collected by observing, note-taking, and interviewing sociologists and an ex female migran tworkerThe research data were obtained from conversations among prominent roles of female migrant workers inMinggu Pagi di Victoria Park movie containing expressive speech acts. This research is expected toprovide social criticism, especially in minimizing the conflicts among Indonesian female migrant workersabroad.
