Abstract

Toilet training is one of the activities that can affect pre-school aged children’s growth. Mother’s role is very important to accompany and teach toilet training to children since mother is the closest person to the children in their everyday life. The objective of this research is to acknowledge the concept of toilet training practice of pre-school aged children in Bejaten Village, the district of Pabelan, Semarang regency. This quantitative research using cross-sectional approachment for its layout. This research using total sampling for its sampling technique with total sample of 146 respondents. The data collected using questionnaire paper arranged by researcher. This research shows that 47x9% pre-school aged children are bad at practicing toilet training and 52.1% are good at toilet training practice. Whereas, 59,6% are good at accompaniment of toilet training practice excellently while the other 40,6% are not good enough at accompaniment of toilet training. The conclusion is toilet training practice in preschool aged children in Bejaten village almost equal between those who are good at practicing it and those who are still bad on it. The accompaniment of the toilet training practice is balanced as well. The working mother should teach toilet training more often with the better method to their children.
