Abstract

ABSTRACT Developments are the quality of changes such as capacity-building of individuals to get the function achieved through growth, maturation and learning processes. The preschool child (3-6 years old), called golden age , is a period in which development occurs at an optimal level. Child development will occur well if given good stimulation and appropriate with the age stage of the child. Stimulus development can be provided by parents, the environment and school. Early Childhood Education is one of the facilities provided by the government to stimulate and provide early childhood education in children. The purpose of this study was to analyze the differences in the development of preschool children who followed the early childhood and did not follow. The type of this research was comparative descriptive study. Total samples were 30 preschoolers who attended early childhood, 30 preschool children who did not attend PAUD, 30 mothers whose children did not follow Early Childhood and 8 Early Childhood teachers. Data were collected by using Pre-screening development questionnaires and developmental stimulus questionnaires that have been through judgment expert test. The research showed t calculate 11.501> t table 2.0017 in which can be stated there was difference of development between child following Early Childhood and child not follow. Suggestion: the next research on child development can be done by looking at the effect of internet access in giving stimulus of child development. Keywords: child development
