This research aimed to describe perception of TB patients towards independent health care at Bandarharjo and Gunungpati Public Health Center. This was a descriptive explorative research. The sample of this research were 51 respondents. The result showed a third of total respondents (31,4%) were in early adulthood phase. Two-thirds of the respondents (66,7%) earned lower than 2 million rupiahs and majority of the respondents (92,2%) were newly diagnosed with TB. Almost two-thirds of the respondents (56,9%) had negative perception on drug consumption management (54,9%), stress management (51%), and prevention of transmission (49%). Meanwhile, about three fifths of the respondents had positive perception on activity and exercise (60,8%), and nutritional needs (58,8%).
