PENGARUH PIJAT OKSITOSIN TERHADAP INVOLUSIO UTERUS PADA IBU POST PARTUM DI PUSKESMAS WILAYAH KOTA SEMARANG

Abstract

Maternal mortality rate was caused by bleeding. Post partum preventive action of bleeding can be done since 3rd and 4th phase by giving oxytocin massage. Oxytocin massage was a massage towards both side of neck backbone, and spinal cord until fifth and sixth costae bones. Purpose of the massage was to stimulate oxyctocin reflex, stimulate uterus contraction, stimutate breast milk production and cope the bleeding. The aim of this research was to analyze the effect of oxytocin massage towards uterus involution on post partum mothers at Semarang Public Health Care area. This study used quasy experiment type with nonequivalent control group design. Sample of this research were 48 respondents divided into 2 groups named as controls group and treatments group. The result was of effect between oxytocin massage and uterus involution p at TFU = 0,014, no effect between oxytocin massage and uterus contractions p at uterus contraction = 0,102, no effect between oxytocin massage and lochea p at lochea = 0,114. As the result already mentioned, family can help the mother's oxytocin massage independently before mothers breastfeeding.
