Abstract
This end duty surrounded caused by problems of fisherman would the price of oil fuel increasingly expensive. On that account, the researchers and industry to do research, experiment, and developing which finally they find alternative fuel which able to be renewed, that is biodiesel Research about ship activator system efficiency is expected able to know how big machine performance influence and propeller when ship applies diesel fuel with biodiesel in a state of ship sails current concurrent and also at the oposite current Based on result of analysis and calculation empirically got a result indicating that efficiency when using diesel fuel when ship to sail current concurrent is 23,2%, while efficiency for fuel biodiesel type B20 is 22,3%, type B30 is 23,2%, and type B50 is 22,1%. That way the things of with when ship sails at the oposite current. Efficiency by using diesel fuel is 22,1%, while efficiency for fuel biodiesel type B20 is 21,3%, type B30 is 22,1%, and type B50 is 21,8% so that ship activator system performance when using biodiesel doesn't experience change signifikan.
