PERSEPSI CAREGIVER TERHADAP TINDAKAN PASUNG PADA PENDERITA GANGGUAN JIWA DI KABUPATEN LAMONGAN

Abstract

Physical restrain is one of treatment that given by family or society to the people with mental disorder by locking up, chaining its feet into beam of wood and many more to limit their freedom. This research aims to know perception of the family toward physical restrain activity for people with mental disorder. The method that used in this research is descriptive qualitative. The number of sample is 62 respondent that fulfil the criteria of inclusive. The method of collecting data is questionnaire-based that consist of respondent characteristic and caregiver perception toward physical restrain using analysis of univariate and statistic descriptive test. The outcome of this research found that most of caregiver (53.2%) agree to do physical restrain activity. The effort that could be done by nurse using effective and sustainable strategy is compose DesaSiagaSehatJiwa and conduct CMHN (Community Mental Health Nursing) program.
