HUBUNGAN UPAYA TINDAK LANJUT PASCA VASEKTOMI DENGAN TIMBULNYA KELUHAN PADA AKSEPTOR VASEKTOMI DI KECAMATAN PEDURUNGAN KOTA SEMARANG TAHUN 2004 THE CORRELATION BETWEEN PASCA VASECTOMY FOLLOW UP EFFORTS AND THE COMPLAINTS OF THE VASECTOMY ACCEPTORS AT THE PEDURUNGAN SUB DISTRICT SEMARANG MUNICIPALITY THE YEAR OF 2004

Abstract

Vasektomi merupakan salah satu metode kontrasepsi jangka panjang yang efektif dalam mencegah kehamilan secara permanen. Setelah menjalani tindakan vasektomi, ada upaya tindak lanjut yang harus dijalani oleh akseptor yaitu perawatan luka operasi, pencegahan kehamilan dan kunjungan ulang. Tindakan vasektomi mempunyai efek atau keluhan. Efek atau keluhan yang muncul dapat berupa keluhan medis, keluhan psikologis dan terjadinya kehamilan. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui hubungan upaya tindak lanjut pasca vasektomi dengan timbulnya keluhan pada akseptor vasektomi. Jenis penelitian explanatory research dengan rancangan cross sectional study. Populasi penelitian adalah PUS (Pasangan Usia Subur) yang menjalani tindakan vasektomi pada bulan Agustus 2002-Agustus 2004 di wilayah Kecamatan Pedurungan Kota Semarang. Penentuan jumlah sampel dengan menggunakan rumus sampel minimal size dan diperoleh sampel sebanyak 41 orang. Pengambilan sampel dengan cara acak sederhana. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan wawancara dan pengisian kuesioner. Uji statistik yang digunakan adalah Chi Square. Akan tetapi karena terdapat frekuensi harapan kurang dari 5 lebih dari 20% maka 2 variabel menggunakan uji ketepatan Fisher. Hasil uji hipotesis dengan menggunakan uji ketepatan Fisher dan Uji Chi Square dengan taraf signifikansi 95% diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa terdapat hubungan perawatan luka operasi dengan timbulnya keluhan (p=0,001), tidak terdapat hubungan pencegahan kehamilan dengan timbulnya keluhan (p=0,343), terdapat hubungan kunjungan ulang dengan timbulnya keluhan (p=0,000). Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, disarankan bagi pemberi pelayanan KB untuk memberikan informasi maupun nasehat-nasehat kepada akseptor vasektomi pada saat selesai pelaksanaan operasi vasektomi, yaitu mengenai cara menjaga higiene luka operasi, upaya pencegahan kehamilan dan pelaksanaan kunjungan ulang Vasectomy is long period method of contraception whis is effective in preventing from pregnancy permanently. After having vasectomy, there are follow up efforts that must be carried out by the acceptors, those efforts are surgery’s wound treatment, pregnancy prevention and repeated visit. Vasectomy may have some effects or complaints. The effects or complaints are can be medical complaint, phsycological complaint and pregnancy. This aim of this research to find out the correlation between pasca vasectomy follw up efforts and the complaintas of the vasectomy acceptors. The kaind of this research is the explanatory research with a design of cross sectional study. The population of the research is fertile couples who carry out vasectomy in August 2002 until August 2004 at Pedurungan Sub District Semarang Municipality. The determination of samples amount uses the formula of sample minimum size and the amount is 41 persons. The tehnique of sampling is simple random sampling. This research uses interview and questionaires. The statistic test is by using Chi Square test. Yet, as there is the expected count less than 5 is more than 20% than there are 2 variable use the Fisher Exact Test.Hypotesis result by using the Fisher Exact Test and The Chi Square Test with the significancy is 95% can be concluded that there is relation ship between surgery’s wound treatment with the complaints (p=0,001), there is no relation between pregnancy with the complaints (p=0,343), there is relation between repated visit with the complaints (p=0,000). Based on the result it is suggested for the health workers to give information and advices to the vasectomy acceptors after vasectomy surgery, especially about how the keep the hygiene of surgery’s wound, pregnancy prevention and repated visit.
