Abstract
At this opportunity of writer use 3 ( three ) kinds of sand type that is : vulkanik, kuarsa, and coperslag, in abrasive operation of blasting. Will study technically that is : roughness test ( deepness of profile ), salt test, and also laboratory test concerning kimiawi content found on each sand waste after sandblasting. Later then will study economically by counting/calculating arising out production cost every M2 by paying attention : sand type amount of labour, usage of consumable material, condition of plate, environmental of activity, and usage of other supporter material. Result of research technically show that roughness test with deepness of profile flatten to use coperslag type sand. While biggest sandblasting waste chemical content : Iron (Fe) : coperslag, Lead (Pb) : kuarsa, Copper (Cu) : copperslag, Zinc (Zn) : kuarsa, Chromium (Cr) : coperslag. As for if evaluated economically hence :quickest fastest time which in reaching to finish blasting is to use coperslag type sand .most economic production cost is also got by if us use coperslag type sand time at longest which in reaching to finish blasting is to use vulkanik type sand, production cost which at most got by if us use kuarsa type sand.
