The Purpose of this research is analyze directive speech act’s form and meaning when coupled with Japanese sentence-ending particles in the drama Dragon Zakura. The theory used in this research is Speech Acts Theory by John R. Searly and Allan Keith. This theory used to analyze the directive speech act that used in Dragon Zakura. The second theory used in this research is Japanese sentence-ending particle by Iori. This theory used to analyze he meaning of the directive speech act when coupled with Japanese sentence-ending particles. Keywords: speech act, directive, sentence-ending particle, drama.
