Abstract

ABSTRACT Setyawan, Rifki Agri, 2017. “Konflik Batin Tokoh Utama Okabe Rintarou dalam Seri Anime TV Steins Gate karya sutradara Hamasaki Hiroshi”. A thesis in partial fulfillment of the requirement for S-I Degree Japanese Department, Faculty of Humanities, Diponegoro University, Semarang. First Advisor Zaki Ainul Fadli, S.S.M.Hum. Second Advisor Budi Mulyadi, S.Pd. M.Hum This research aims to finding and explaining about the structural elements in the anime "Steins Gate" and revealing the inner conflict Okabe’s character in the anime "Steins Gate" by Hamasaki Hiroshi is based on the structural theory of personality by Sigmund Freud. The method used in this research is using structural methods to analyze the elements of intrinsic, then used psychological approach literature for data related to the main character, The result of this study reveals the conflict factors such as id disagreement with Okabe’s superego. Okabe Rintarou solved her conflicts with ego defense mechanism. The defense aimed to reduce anxiety caused by the inner conflict. Keywords : psychoanalysis, inner conflict. self defense mechanism.
