Abstract
ABSTRAK- Salah satu permasalahan dalam pengomposan adalah pada bahan baku kompos yang memiliki rasio C/N yang tinggi. Maka itu perlu ditambahkan material lain yang mengandung nitrogen yang tinggi sehingga dapat menghasilkan kompos yang memiliki rasio C/N rendah. Salah satu material yang baik untuk dicampurkan dalam pengomposan adalah pupuk kandang. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh penambahan campuran pupuk kotoran sapi dan kambing terhadap kualitas hasil pengomposan. Variasi yang dilakukan pada penelitian ini yaitu 3:1:1 (sampah daun: pupuk kotoran sapi: pupuk kotoran kambing) (b/b), 5 1:1 dan 4:1:1. Sedangkan parameter yang diamati yaitu pH, suhu, kadar air, kadar N-Total, kadar C-Organik, rasio C/N, kadar P-Total, kadar K-Total, nilai GI kompos dan kandungan total coliform. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan penambahan campuran pupuk kotoran sapi dan kambing berpengaruh baik terhadap kualitas kompos. Rasio C/N kompos yang divariasikan telah memenuhi SNI 19-7030-2004 pada akhir pengomposan. Variasi optimum pada penelitian ini yaitu 3:1:1 dengan hasil kadar C-Organik 31,27%, kadar N-Total 2,36%, rasio C/N 13,21, kadar P-Total 0,45% dan kadar K-Total 0,55%. Kemudian hasil uji mikrobiologi menunjukan bahwa jumlah total koliform yang ada pada yaitu 210 MPN/gr. Sedangkan untuk hasil pengujian toksisitas menggunakan uji GI, nilai GI pada variasi 3:1:1 adalah 102,7 yang menunjukkan bahwa kompos bebas toksik, sudah matang dan stabil. Kata kunci: Kompos; sampah daun; pupuk kotoran ABSTRACT- One of the problems in composting is the compost materials have higher C / N ratio. So, it needs to add the other material that contains higher nitrogen to reach lower C/N ratio. One of alternative materials that can be added is manure. So, the purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the mixture of cow and goat manure to the quality of leaves waste composting result. Variations of this study were 3: 1: 1 (the leaves waste: cow manure: goat manure) (w / w), 5: 1: 1 and 4: 1: 1. While the observed parameters were pH, temperature, water content, N-Total, C-Organic, C / N ratio, P-Total, K-Total, GI value of compost and total coliform content. The results showed that the addition of a mixture of cow and goat manure had the good effects on the quality of the compost. C / N ratio of varied composts had complied the standards that assigned by SNI 19-7030-2004 at the end of composting. The optimum variation in this study was 3: 1: 1 with the C-Organic value was 31.27%, the N-total value was 2.36%, C/N ratio of the compost was 13.21, the P-total value was 0.45%, and the K-total value was 0.55%. Number of total coliform that exist in the compost was 210 MPN/g. As for the results of toxicity testing using Germination Index test, the GI value was 102.7 which indicated that the compost was free of toxic, mature and stable.
