Abstract
Kata Kunci : Karakteristik Kendaraan Pribadi, Model IVE, Emisi Udara Konvensional ABSTRACT Transportation had a positive impact in determining the development of an area in distributing goods and services, but also can have a negative impact on air quality in urban areas are deteriorating due to high levels of vehicle emissions. This condition can occur in every region of Indonesia that has a high traffic density, including in the city of Semarang. The purpose of this study was to determine the characteristics of the type of engine, exhaust type, fuel type, the age distribution of vehicles, vehicle mileage (VKT), vehicle speed and the number of start-ups, as well as determine the amount of the estimated emissions of air pollutants conventional (SOx, NOx, CO, and PM) private vehicles in the city of Semarang at start-up and running using the International vehicle Emission. This research was conducted by collecting primary data and secondary data. The primary data obtained by distributing questionnaires about the data characteristics of the vehicle while secondary data obtained from BMKG Maritim Semarang. The collected data further processed by using Method International Vehicle Emissions (IVE). Model International Vehicle Emissions (IVE) is specifically designed to have the flexibility needed by developing countries in an effort to overcome the exhaust emissions from vehicles in the air. (Davis, 2008). After doing research using the Model International Vehicle Emissions (IVE), the obtained results that the proceeds of the conventional air SOx, NOx, CO and PM on private motorcycle in Semarang well as start up and running is greater than the emissions produced on private cars , Then the parameters of conventional air emissions produced by private motorcycle and cars most of it is CO.
