Depresi pada Orang dengan Skizofrenia di Ruang Rawat Inap RSJD Dr. Amino Gondohutomo Provinsi Jawa Tengah

Department of Nursing Faculty of Medicine Diponegoro University June, 2017 ABSTRACT Nurul Muawanah Depression of People with Schizophrenia in the Patient Ward of RSJD Dr. Amino Gondohutomo Province of Central Java xiv + 100 Pages + 8 Tables + 2 Images + 15 Attachments Schizophrenia is a severe mental disorder characterized by disorders of thoughts, feelings and behavior. People with schizophrenia can experience feel low self-esteem, isolated, and can not function properly. This causes people with schizophrenia can be depressed. Depression is a bad emotional condition due to disruption of human functions related to the nature of emotion will cause the quality of life being worse and the risk of suicide. The purpose of this study was to examine depression in people with schizophrenia in the Patient Ward of RSJD Dr. Amino Gondohutomo Province of Central Java. Methods of data collection used descriptive research design with survey approach. The number of samples are 71 respondents with incidental sampling. Data collected used questionnaires of respondent characteristics (demographic and clinical data) and CDSS questionnaire (The Calgary Depression Scale for Schizophrenia). The analysis used is univariate analysis applying descriptive statistic. The results of this study showed that 39.4% people with schizophrenia had depression. In conclusion, 28 people with schizophrenia had depression and 43 people with schizophrenia did not depression are treated in the inpatient room. Recommendation of this study is necessary giving nursing interventions one of them group activity therapy as prevention and treatment of depression in people with schizophrenia.
