Abstract

ABSTRACT Haryadi, Elga. 2017. “Adverbia Kanarazu, Kitto, Tashikani dalam Kalimat Bahasa Jepang”. Thesis, Department of Japanese Studies, Faculty of Humanities, Diponegoro University. The Advisor Elizabeth Ika Hesti ANR, S.S., M.Hum. In this writing thesis, the writer discussed “The Adverb Kanarazu, Kitto, Tashikani in Japanese Sentence”. The aim of these research are to describe the structure and the meaning of Japanese adverb such as kanarazu, kitto and tashikani; and to describe the relation of meaning of those three kinds Japanese adverb. The writer obtained the data from Japanese novel, film, as well as website. Those data were collected using note taking technique. Then, to analyze the structure and the meaning of adverb kanarazu, kitto and tashikani, the writer used descriptive qualitative method. Meanwhile, the writer applied distributional method and substitutional technique to depict the relation of those adverb’s third meaning. Based on the data analysis, the result show that the adverb kanarazu can modify an activity verb and static verb, and it cause the adverb kanarazu to have more meaning; like certainty, intention, desire, obligation, and habit/routine. The adverb kitto can modify verb, adjactive-I and noun, and it cause the adverb kitto to have more meaning; like certainty, intention, desire, obligation, and habit/routine. The adverb tashikani can modify an activity verb, adjactive-I and noun, and it cause the adverb tashikani more meaning certainty. Keyword: adverb, kanarazu, kitto, tashikani
