This research uses Mona Baker’s Translation Strategy approach to analyse the equivalency of translation in word and idiom level. This research also reveals translation which is unequivalence, wrongly translated, and proposes alternative translation for it. The data are collected from the English subtitle of “Scott Pilgrim Vs the World” film and its translation in Bahasa Indonesia by using observation method with free observation technique and record technique. The research is conducted using three steps of analysis.
