Abstract

Therefore, it required effort - an effort to improve the poor sanitation, one of the efforts to improve sanitation is the communal wastewater treatment system that can effectively reduce the organic components and wastewater solids (Ulrich et al., 2009). An alternative treatment of domestic wastewater for provincial and national scale is a system DEWATS (Decentralized Wastewater Treatment Plant ) SANIMAS program or community-based sanitation. Processing facilities is wastewater that has been built dometic DEWATS need to get good management in terms of operational and maintenance work so that performance can be optimized to process domestic waste society. But in practice, people are only using sanitary facilities and rarely checks (monitoring). The WWTP monitoring program is important in order to know the performance of the WWTP in managing domestic waste, related to the efficiency of the WWTP whether fixed or even declining. This research was conducted by taking samples in each - each unit to determine the performance of the processing unit on each WWTP in removal efficiency parameter waste water that is COD and TSS in the tub settler, anaerobic baffle reactor and anaerobic filter, as well as the content of the biogas produced by the biodigester, These results indicate removal efficiency allowance for TSS and COD in the processing unit and the content of the biogas at MCK plus Bustaman.
