Abstract
ABSTRACT Puspitaningrum, Adhari. 2017. “Strategi Kesantunan Tindak Tutur Imperatif Tokoh Wanita dalam Drama First Class”. Thesis, department of Japanese Studies Faculty of Humanities, Diponegoro University. The Advisor Reny Wiyatasari, S.S M.Hum. The purpose of this study is to describe politeness strategy and Japanese imperative speech acts which used by woman. The data of this study are woman speeches which can be categorized as imperative speech acts in drama series First Class episode 1-3. Method of data analysis used is padan ekstralingual. Data were analyzed by using compilation theory of Iori and Niita as reference to analyze the speech acts meaning and theory from Brown and Levinson used to analyze about the politeness strategy. Based from the results of study show that the most dominant strategy used by woman in drama series First Class episode 1-3 is bald on record strategy. This is because the speeches in the drama series First Class are mostly take place in office used by the head chief of editor to employees, the photographer to asistant and the senior to junior.
