Abstract

ABSTRACT Falentia Sari, Hesti. 2017. “Strategi Kesantunan Berbahasa pada Tindak Tutur Ekspresif dalam Drama Mirai Nikki (Another World)”. Thesis, Departement of Japanese Literature Faculty of Humanities Diponegoro University. Supervisor reny Wiyatasari, S.S., M.Hum. This research is about politeness strategies in expressive speect acts in the drama Mirai Nikki (Another World). The formulations of study are: 1. What kinds of expressive speech act in the drama Mirai Nikki? 2. What are the politeness strategies used in the drama Mirai Nikki? There are two objectives in this research. First is the description of expressive speech act forms in the drama Mirai Nikki. Second is the description of politeness strategies used in the drama Mirai Nikki. Data source in this research isdrama Mirai Nikki. Data collecting techniques used rekam, simak, and catat technique. The data analysis method are contextual method and qualitative method. The results of this research showed that there were 34 data of expressive speech act found in drama Mirai Nikki. Those are 7 data containing criticism, 12 data containing complain, 9 data containing praise, and 6 data containing tease. From those data is founded four kinds politeness strategies. There are four data which are bald on record strategies, 18 data of positive politeness strategies, 4 data of negative politeness strategies, and 8 data of bald off record strategies.
