Abstract

ABSTRACT Agustia, Diana Rizki, 2017. “Analisis Perangkat Kohesi dalam Wacana Acara Televisi News Every ‘Ki ni Naru!’”. Thesis, Department of Japanese Literature Faculty of Humanities Diponegoro University. Supervisor Lina Rosliana, S.S., M.Hum. This research discusses about cohesion elements found in one of News Every’s segments entitled ‘Ki ni Naru!’. The main matter of this researh are: 1. What kind of cohesion in News Every ‘Ki ni Naru!’? 2. How is the cohesiveness in the discourse of News Every ‘Ki ni Naru!’? This research has two purposes. First, to identify the cohesion elements in News Every ‘Ki ni Naru’. Second, to describe the cohesiveness of the discourse in New Every ‘Ki ni Naru’. The source used in this research is News Every ‘Ki ni Naru!’, which is aired on May 12, 2014. This research is a qualitative research in which the method used is descriptive analysis method. The finding shows that the discourse in News Every ‘Ki ni Naru’ is cohesive because it consists of gramatical and lexical cohesions. The gramatical cohesions used by this news program are reference, substitution, ellipsis, and conjunction. Moreover the lexical cohesion that can be found in this program are repetition, synonym, antonym, and collocation. The finding also shows that reference and conjunction are the most frequently used gramatical cohesion while repetition is the most frequently used lexical cohesion.
