GAMBARAN PERILAKU PERAWAT DALAM MELAKUKAN CUCI TANGAN 5 MOMENT DI RST dr.ASMIR SALATIGA

Abstract

ABSTRACT Behaviour of nurses in implementing hand washing plays a role in infection prevention and control. On nursing care process still alot of nurses did′ nt do 5 momment hand wash. Results of preliminary studies on the RST dr.asmir Salatiga, from interviews with the Head of the Hospital has conducted socialization of handwashing 5 moment to all nurses but there are nurses who have not done handwashing especially at the moment prior to contact with the patient. The purpose of this research was describing the behavior of nurses in five moments of hand washing in Salatiga dr.Asmir RST. Types of non-experimental research design quantitative descriptive research. RST dr.Asmir nurse population in Salatiga, a sample of 59 respondents. Sampling technique total sampling. Univariate analysis with frequency distribution. Knowledge of respondents in the category quite as much as 35.6%, in both categories as much as 32.2% and 32.2% less category. Respondents most positive attitude as much as 52.5%. The act of washing hands 5 moment there are still many do not nurse at one moment as much as 64.41%. Therefore it is recommended to improve the behavior of nurses in handwashing moment 5 hospitals can provide reward system for nurses as well as monitoring the implementation of handwashing 5 moment.
