Hubungan Perubahan Fisik Ruang dengan Kondisi Sosial Ekonomi Masyarakat di Kawasan Koridor Aglomerasi Mertoyudan, Kabupaten Magelang

Abstract

In the process of regional development of Mertoyudan Corridor, the urban agglomeration is one of the influential factors. Mertoyudan Corridor catchs the opportunities of growth of the Magelang City because it is directly border. Moreover, the existence of national arterial road widening project of Magelang District, the development of Mertoyudan Corridor area is more rapidly. Currently, it can be seen the high concentration of economic activities, especially trade and services along the Mertoyudan Corridor. In addition, the area behind the Mertoyudan Corridor is also indicated by the increase in built area which is a response to the growth of population and their activities. These conditions indicate the urban agglomeration in Koridor Mertoyudan and implicate on several aspects, including physical change of space, livelihood, income of society, mobility frequency, and frequency of interaction. The focus of this study is the correlation between change of physical aspects with socio-economic of society conditions in Mertoyudan Corridor. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to examine the correlation of change of physical of space with socio-economic conditions of local society in Koridor Mertoyudan as the implications of urban agglomeration. The result of this research is the correlation between the physical aspects with some social aspects economic of local society from the urban agglomeration of Mertoyudan Corridor.
