Abstract

Advisor S.I.Trahutami, S.S.,M.Hum. The problem statemets of this research are: 1. How are the Japanese swearing references in drama Dragon zakura?. 2. How are the Japanese swearing usage in drama Dragon zakura?. The purpose of this research are: 1. To describe the Japanese swearing references in Dragon zakura drama. 2. To describe the Japanaese swearing usage in Dragon zakura drama. The data is collected from drama Dragon zakura’s dialogue. The collecting data is done with the writing method. Method of data analysis used is agih method. The agih method has ‘bagi unsur langsung’ technique as its basic technique. Data were analyzed by using compilation theory of Hughes, Wijana, Chaer, Liedlich, and Timothy. The method of presenting the result of data analysis is an informal method, which is presenting the result of analysis dara with words. Based on the results of research show that Japanese swearing in drama Dragon zakura has 5 references according to Hughes’theory. That are excretory term, imbecilic term, anatomical term, animal term and general term. The Swearing can expressing angry, insult, intimacy, humor, and give a motivation.
