Abstract

The development of Jatibarang Reservoir in Goa Kreo tourist area will change people’s social and economic conditions, people who formerly worked as farmers and farm worker affected b the development and lose their paddy fields, it will have an impact on employment and income received by people around. The purpose of this study was to find out the impact of tourism on the economic, social, physical environment, and people’s income. To analyze the benefit of Goa Kreo and Jatibarang Reservoir tourist attraction towards economic, social, physical environment and people’s income. This study using mix method by using qualitative descriptive and statistical tests to test Paried Sample t-test. The result of this research is in the field of tourism economy can create new job opprtunities for people, raise land prices, and increase public revenues, on social field tourism changed the society structure to be more modern and open, but the negative impact is the attitude and style alteration that shown and more likely materialistic, in the field of environmental impact on the infrastructure development, and in the field of culture will stimulate the culture to grow and flourish. The Paried Sample t-test showed that job displacement makes the average income recieved by community rises, from Rp. 1.223.200 per month to Rp. 2.543.200 per month.
