Abstract
Spiritual distress is a problem that occured in critically ill patients, so it takes the role of nurses to fulfill the spiritual need. Spirituality is the source of support and strength for patient in facing their illness. One of the factors that influence the willingness of nurses in providing spiritual need of patients is spiritual intelligence. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between spiritual intelligence and spiritual care in intensive care unit. The study used descriptive correlational design with cross sectional method. The Samples was taken by total sampling techniques and data collected through questionnaires. The total sample in this study were 53 respondents. The results showed that 54.7% of respondents have a low spiritual intelligence, and 52.8% of respondents have been good practicing of spiritual care. Chi-square test showed that there is no significant relationship between spiritual intelligence and spiritual care (p value 0,200). Training and spiritual activity could be one of the solution to improve spiritual intelligence and spiritual care practice.
