Abstract
Background : Severe preeclampsia with HELLP syndrome has higher risk than severe preeclampsia to get complications in pregnancy and childbirth. This study’s aimed to give an overview of maternal complications of pregnancy and childbirth in severe preeclampsia with HELLP syndrome. Method : This study is a retrospective observational study with cross sectional study approach, from the medical records department of Dr. Kariadi Semarang. Data has taken from January 2013 to April 2016. The research sample consist of 136 subjects, 42 subjects of severe preeclampsia with HELLP syndrome, 34 subjects of severe preeclampsia with partial HELLP syndrome and 60 subjects of severe preeclampsia. Data were analyzed by chi-square test and Fisher's Exact test Results : There are differences in severe preeclampsia with and without HELLP syndrome. From maternal outcomes ie eclampsia p=0.03 and admission to the ICU p=< 0.01. In the perinatal mortality outcomes perintal ie p=<0.01, IUGR p=<0.01, IUFD p=< 0.01, asphyxia p=< 0.01, fetal distress p=< 0.01, premature birth p=< 0.01 and abnormal umbilical artery doppler examination p=< 0.01. There are differences in severe preeclampsia with and without partial HELLP syndrome. From maternal outcomes are ICU p=<0.01.
