Abstract

This purpose of this research is to analyze the impact of fiscal policy on Indonesian sovereign bond spreads. The data used in this study include the quarterly data since 2004.Q1 - 2014.Q4. The analytical tool used in this research is an OLS regression (Ordinary Least Square). Ordinary Least Square analysis results showed that total government debt, and spending subsidies significant positive effect on the variable sovereign bond spreads, the budget deficit is not a significant positive effect on the variable sovereign bond spreads, while capital spending significant negative effect on sovereign bond spreads. Results of the analysis showed that the subsidy is a variable that most big contribution in explaining the variation of sovereign bond spreads.
