Abstract
Background: Language development is one of indicator development of children's cognitive abilities that associated with successfulness in school later. Early developmental language skill delays can affect various functions in daily life. Besides to affecting social personal life, it will also causes learning difficulties, even obstacles in work later. Early identification and intervention can prevent the occurrence of its interferences and obstacles. Objectives: To provide the correlation of language development skills with Pendidikan Anak Usia Dini Nonformal in Semarang Methods: This type of research was observational analytic with cross sectional approach. The total subjects in this study was 84 respondents, which follows the Early Childhood Education Non-Formal and In-formal. The study had done in the play group and at the home of respondents on March 2016. Samples were taken by the “consequtive sampling”. The data was obtained through questionnaires and interviews with the parents of respondents. Data analysis had done gradually including univariat and bivariate analysis by using Spearman's test in SPSS. Results: Results of statistical test by Spearman correlation test showing association the development of language skills of children with Early Childhood Education Non-Formal in Semarang (p <0.01; r = 0.492), whereas the relationships with gender did not show significance (p = 0.580; r = 0.061) and the relationship with the language skills nutritional status also did not show significance (p = 0.632; r = 0.053). Conclusion: There was correlation language development scores with PAUD formal and informal at the age of 2 -3 years (p <0.01; r = 0.492).
