Abstract
Background : Tinea pedis was a dermathophytosis that often occured. Tinea pedis infect about 10% of the world's population. Tinea pedis infect the heel area, between the toes and soles of the feet. Prevalence rate was increase on useing closed shoes. The traffic police are expected to have a higher risk of infection tinea tedis Direction : To determine prevalence and risk factor of tinea pedis in traffic policeman in Semarang. Methods : This study design was observational with cross sectional aprroach. The subject were 41 traffic police in Semarang who met the inclusion criteria. The data were collected from questionnaire that include personal hygiene, long periods of employment and duration of work Results : The prevalence of Tinea pedis in traffic policeman in Semarang was 41,5% Conclution : Long-time work, duration of work and personal hygiene has no effect on tinea pedis Keywords : Tinea pedis, hygine, traffic policeman
