Abstract

Background : Breast cancer had high incidence rate, especially women, was 100 times higher than men, there were corellation between age and incidence of breast cancer, correlation between age and status of ER, PR, HER-2, survival rate, and corellation between ER, PR, and HER-2 with breast cancer grade. Aim: Knowing the difference of women breast cancer grade at <40 years and ≥ 40 years, proving previous theory, that based on it’s grade breast cancer at young age has worse prognosis than older age. Method : It was an observational studies of comparative analytic unpaired categorical with cross sectional method. Samples were medical records of female breast cancer patients at Laboratory of Pathology Anatomy of dr. Kariadi Hospital Semarang who met the inclusion criteria, were divided into group, age <40 years and ≥ 40 years. The statistical test was Chi-square test. Results : Analysis between age and grading showed no significant difference with p = 0.189. Analysis of ER and grading showed no significant difference with p = 0.491. Analysis of PR and grading showed no significant difference with p = 0.229. Analysis of HER-2 and grading showed no significant difference with p = 0.218. Conclusion : Age does not have significant difference in grading of breast cancer. Keyword : Breast cancer, carcinoma mamae, grade, age, ER, PR, HER-2
