ANALISIS EFISIENSI PRODUKSI USAHATANI TEMBAKAU (Studi Kasus: Desa Mandisari, Kecamatan Parakan, Kabupaten Temanggung)

Abstract

Agricultural sector plays an important role in the national economics. The role including provides raw materials for industrials, contributes to national income through agricultural exports, and opens the job opportunities that can encourage the growth of people’s income. In this case, particularly tobacco, in Mandisari Village,District Parakan, Temanggung. Thus, the aim of the study is to analyze factors that may influence tobacco production in Mandisari Village,District Parakan, Temanggung. The data used in this study are primary data and secondary data. Sampling was done by census. Respondents in this study are tobacco farmers who owned land in the village of the District Mandisari Parakan Temang- totaling 80 people. Methods of data analysis used in this research is multiple linear regression analysis and test efficiency that analyze the research data.To achieve the objective, the study is started from data collection, data process, and interpret the results. Data used i the study are primary data and secondary data. Primary data are gained from interview from certain respondents included as the samples via cencus method. Meanwhile, secondary data are obtained from books and literature from various sources. Respondents in this study are tobacco land owner farmers in the area, which are 80 people. Data analysis method used in this research is multiple linear regression analysis and test efficiency. Analysis model used in this research is multiple linear regression using the software e-views, while efficiency test uses DEAPsoftware. Total production of tobacco farmers in Mandisari village is assumed as the dependent variable, while seven other variables; land, work experience, the number of seeds, the number of organic fertilizer, the number of ZA fertilizer, labor, and pesticides; are assumed as independent variable. The results showed that of the seven independent variables in the regression equation, there are four variables that significantly influence the amount of tobacco production, namely land, the number of seeds, the number of organic fertilizer, and the number of ZA fertilizer. Meanwhile, work experience, labor, and pesticides did not give significant influence towards the amount of tobacco production in Mandisari village. The average value of the tobacco farmers' technical efficiency is 0.96. Thus, it is necessary to increase the number of production factors so that the value of technical efficiency is equal to 1.
