Abstract
This is a response paper which discusses some values of educational practices in Indonesia and the United States (US) dealing with the high-stake tests, parents’ choice of schools, and teachers’ behavioral problems encountered. Some book references, journal articles, and class discussions are subjects in the accomplishment of this paper.
