Abstract

The stability of blood sugar plays an important role in the management of diabetes. Diabetes blood sugar level is determined by adherence to the four pillars of Management DM. This is facilitated by the government through PROLANIS managed by BPJS. The purpose of the study was to determine the relationship between adherence to follow PROLANIS with stability of blood sugar in people with diabetes. The research design was correlational cross sectional analytic quantitative non-experimental approach. The sampling of this research used total sampling with 82 participants that was member of PROLANIS at Public Health Center of Babat Lamongan. Datas were collected using a questionnaire dietary compliance, Baecke, MMAS-8 and the medical records of patients. Statistical test results using alternative fisher exact test showed p = 0.000 <α (0.05) which means there was a significant relationship between adherence follow PROLANIS with the stability of blood sugar. This shows that the higher level of compliance has better stability of blood sugar. Based on the four pillars of PROLANIS majority of people with diabetes do not adhere to education (61%), physical activity (56%), and treatment (52.3%), while the majority of people with diabetes adhere to a diet (90.2%). The conclusion is that there was a relationship between compliance with follow PROLANIS blood sugar stability so that it can be used as a reference for people with diabetes to improve compliance with the 4 pillars PROLANIS management of DM in order to have a stable blood sugar.
