Abstract

School of Nursing Faculty of Medicine Diponegoro University August, 2016 ABSTRACT The Images of Some Factors that Influences the Students’ Learning Motivation of School of Nursing, Faculty of Medicine, Diponegoro University, Semarang xvii + 95 pages + 21 tables + 3 pictures + 14 appendixs Learning motivation would reflect the behavior of individuals in the study. Learning motivation would clarify objectives and learning strategies. Learning motivation had a significant role in improving learning achievement. But the fact students are only eager to follow in early learning course as well as decreased concentration and focus on learning.The factors which influence learning motivation were the goals and aspirations, students’ ability, students’ condition, and dynamical components in learning process and the external factors (the condition of learning atmosphere and teachers’ effort in teaching the students). The aim of this research was to know the images of some factors which influence the students’ motivation in School of Nursing, Faculty of Medicine, Diponegoro University, Semarang. This research was a descriptive research study with a survey approach. The total sample of this research is 80 students’ respondents that consist of students from 2012, 2013, 2014, and 2105 School of Nursing, Diponegoro University, Semarang. The data was taken by using questionnaire and was analyzed by sing descriptive statistic. The conclusion of this study was the completing factors which influence students’ learning motivation is in the inferior level. Factor of students’ goals and aspirations were in the good level. Factor of students’ ability was in the inferior level. Factor of students’ condition was in the inferior level. Factor of students’ dynamical components in learning process was in the good level. Factor of the condition of students’ learning atmosphere is in the inferior level. Factor of teachers’ effort in teaching students was in the good level. This study is expected to be a reference for students to enhance their learning strategies as well as for lecturers to deliver material clearly.
