PENGARUH KUALITAS PELAPORAN KEUANGAN DAN MATURITAS UTANG TERHADAP KETIDAKEFISIENAN INVESTASI

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to examine the effect offinancial reporting quality and debt maturity on investment inefficiency. The population in this study consists of manufactured companies listed in Indonesian Stock Exchang during 2011-2013. Sampling method used is purposive sampling.By omitting companies with some data unavailable, the samples consist of 75 companies.This study examines the samples in two years so the total is 150 samples. There are 13 samples that included outlier should be excluded from samples of observation. Then, the final amounts of the sample are 137 samples. Linear reggression used to be analysis technique. The empirical result of this study show that both financial reporting quality and debt maturity have a negative and significant effect to investment inefficiency. So, the company should increase the financial reporting quality and use more short-term debt to reduce the investment inefficiency problem.
