PENGARUH KEMISKINAN, KEPADATAN PENDUDUK, TINGKAT PENYELESAIAN KASUS, DAN JUMLAH POLISI TERHADAP TINGKAT KEJAHATAN PROPERTI DKI JAKARTA (2006-2013)

Abstract

Crime became one of the important social issues to be resolved because of the perceived impact is very large community both directly and indirectly. Jakarta as the capital city and one of the centers of growth was recorded as the city with the highest number of crimes in Indonesia, according to data on the number of crimes published by BPS, and the type of crime that is most common property crime. There are various factors that influence the occurrence of a property crime. This research aimed to examine the examine the effect of population density, poverty, crime clearance, and police ratio on property crime rate in DKI Jakarta in2006-2013. This study uses panel data regression model with fixed effect model. The data used is a combination of time series data from 2006 to 2013 and cross section data as much as 5 administrative cities in DKI Jakarta Province.The dependent variable used in this study is property crime rate, while population density, poverty, crime clearance, and police ratio as independent variables. The regression shows that all the independent variable has a positive and signiffiant impact on property crime rate in DKI Jakarta.
